Areekkal Waterfall, Pampakuda, Kerala
Areekkal Waterfall is a natural waterfall located in Pampakuda Village in Muvattupuzha Taluk in Ernakulam District in Kerala, India. It is one of the major domestic tourist destinations in Pampakuda. The waterfall is around 100 feet in height. The waterfall originates from Mannathur Hills in Tirumaradi Panchayat. It falls on all three levels. There is a barricaded area built below the third level for travelers to access. The waterfall is surrounded by rubber plantations and dense forests. The ideal time to visit the waterfall is from June to September.
Connectivity
The waterfall is located at about 2.5 Kms from Pampakuda,
10 Kms from Piravom, 13 Kms from Muvattupuzha, 19 Kms from Piravom Road Railway
Station, 24 Kms from Thodupuzha, 35 Kms from Ernakulam, 38 Kms from Kochi and
45 Kms from Kochi Airport. The waterfall is situated at about 2.5 Kms to the
east of Pampakuda on the Piravom to Muvattupuzha route.
