Colomb Beach is a public beach located in Palolem Village in Canacona Taluk in South Goa District of Goa, India. This beach is also called as Colom Beach. It is situated in a small horseshoe-shaped bay between the Palolem and Patnem Beaches. It is considered as one of the most remote beaches of South Goa. The beach is covered with golden sand with some splashes of black stones. The beach is surrounded by peculiar rock formations and thick vegetation from three sides.


This beach is entirely safe for swimming. It is not crowded like other popular and commercial beaches. There is a special unique rock called Pandava's drum in the beach. It is said that if you throw a stone into the rock and if it hits a certain place, you can hear a sound very similar to the sound of the drum. The northern end of the bay is bordered by Neptune’s Point, the rocky outcrop that separates Colomb beach from Palolem beach.

The beach is located at about 2 Kms from Patnem Beach, 2.5 Kms from Palolem Beach, 2.5 Kms from Canacona Railway Station, 3 Kms from Canacona Bus Stand, 10 Kms from Agonda, 39 Kms from Margao, 64 Kms from Goa Airport and 72 Kms from Panaji. It is situated between the Palolem and Patnem Beaches.

Butterfly Beach is a tiny beach cove located near Agonda Village in Canacona Taluk in South Goa District of Goa, India. This beach is situated between Palolem and Agonda beaches. It is one of the most secluded and lesser known beaches of South Goa. It is enclosed by a thick forest on one side and leading to the open sea on the other. It is so named as the surrounding trees attract a wide variety of butterflies occasionally. It is also one of the few places in Goa to sight the playful dolphins. Tourists need to hike down through a small forest from top of the hillock. This beach is mostly accessible by a boat (ferry) ride from the nearby beaches.




Connectivity

The beach is located at about 5 Kms from Agonda, 7 Kms from Canacona Bus Stand, 7 Kms from Canacona Railway Station, 7 Kms from Palolem Beach, 37 Kms from Margao, 62 Kms from Goa Airport and 69 Kms from Panaji. Buses are available from Canacona and Margao regularly. The beach is situated on Margao to Canacona route.

Agonda Beach is a public beach located in Agonda Village in Canacona Taluk in South Goa District of Goa, India. Agonda Beach is one of the four beaches in Goa designated as turtle nesting sites under the Coastal Regulation Zone 2011 notification. This beach was ranked on TripAdvisor's "Travelers Choice" as fourth in Asia and first in India by TripAdvisor in 2016. It is situated to the north of Palolem Beach.

The Beach

This beach is a 3 kms long pristine stretch of beach. It is one of the cleanest beaches of Goa and surprisingly less crowded. It is an excellent spot for sunbathing, swimming and relaxing because of the fewer crowds. It is famous for its astonishing view of sunset around the Agonda cliff. It is considered as one of the most romantic beaches in Goa. The borderline of the shores comes up with beautifully aligned coconut trees and palm trees.

Local fishermen take tourists to sea on boat rides for sighting dolphins for certain price. The beach stretch has an ancient Agonda Church, the Saint Anne's Church and few academic institutions. The beach serves as a nesting ground for olive ridley sea turtles during the month of September. There is one more beach on the north side of Agonda cliff called Cola beach which has an adjoining lagoon.

The beach is located at about 1 Km from Agonda Bus Stand, 9 Kms from Canacona Bus Stand, 9 Kms from Canacona Railway Station, 9 Kms from Palolem Beach, 37 Kms from Margao, 61 Kms from Goa Airport and 68 Kms from Panaji. Buses are available from Canacona and Margao regularly. The beach is situated on Margao to Canacona route.

Cola Beach is a crescent-shaped beach located in Cola Village in Canacona Taluk in South Goa District of Goa, India. It is one of the remote and most secluded beaches of South Goa. It is surrounded by green vegetation, coconut plantations, and some hilly terrain flanking the south and north sides of the beach. The beach is actually divided into two parts namely North Cola, and South Cola, with a small hill separating the two parts. North Cola beach is 800 meters long, while South Cola at 145 meters is much smaller.





The most distinguishing feature of this beach is its fresh water lagoon. This fresh water lagoon can be seen on the northern side of the beach and is formed by a small river called Khola. This beach is called Cola / Khola Beach named after this river. This beach is suitable for swimming and diving. This beach is listed as one of the top 25 beaches of India in TripAdvisor's 2016 Traveler’s Choice awards. Cola Beach lies to the north of Agonda Beach. It is also ranked 12th on the list of most beautiful beaches of TripAdvisor in 2018.

The beach is located at about 2.5 Kms from Cajumol Bus Stop, 8 Kms from Agonda Beach, 11 Kms from Agonda, 11 Kms from Cabo de Rama Fort, 17 Kms from Canacona Railway Station, 17 Kms from Canacona Bus Stand, 58 Kms from Goa Airport and 65 Kms from Panaji. Cola is situated on Agonda Beach to Cabo de Rama Fort route. The access to the beach runs through a dusty mud road from Cola village.

Palolem Beach is a public beach located in Palolem Village in Canacona Taluk in South Goa District of Goa, India. It is considered to be one of the  most beautiful beaches of Goa. Palolem beach was ranked the 20th best beach in Asia and India's fifth best beach by TripAdvisor.



The Beach

The beach is about 2 Km long and is crescent-shaped. One can view the entire beach from either end. Both ends of the beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, being shallowest at the northern end of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast. It is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village itself. The beach attracts many international tourists, mainly during the winter season between November and March. Tourists can indulge in yoga classes, dolphin-spotting trips, Scuba diving, fishing, kayaking, Ayurvedic massages and silent discos.
