Bahuti Falls is a waterfall located near Mauganj Town in Rewa District in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It is the highest waterfall in Madhya Pradesh. This waterfall is located close to Chachai Falls and Keoti Falls.


The Waterfall

This waterfall falls from a height of 142 m (466 feets). It is situated on the Odda river in the Rewa plateau. Odda is a tributary of the Bihad river which in turn joins the Tamsa (Tons) river. It is an example of a nick point caused by rejuvenation. Knick point, also called a nick point or simply nick, represents breaks in slopes in the longitudinal profile of a river caused by rejuvenation. The break in channel gradient allows water to fall vertically giving rise to a waterfall.

The falls is located at about 8 Kms from Nai Garhi, 12 Kms from Mauganj Bus Stand, 13 Kms from Mauganj, 31 Kms from Hanumana, 40 Kms from Mangawan, 73 Kms from Rewa and 108 Kms from Prayagraj Airport. The falls is situated on Mauganj to Nai Garhi route.
