Tanda Falls is a waterfall located in Tand Village in Mirzapur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated in the midst of wild surroundings. The best time to visit the waterfall is during monsoon and post monsoon when there is high volume of water gushing down. The Vindham waterfall and Khajuri Dam is situated close to this waterfall.

The falls is located at about 9 Kms from Mirzapur, 10 Kms from Mirzapur Railway Station, 12 Kms from Mirzapur Bus Stand, 24 Kms from Lalganj, 68 Kms from Varanasi and 74 Kms from Varanasi Airport. The falls is situated at about 5 Kms to the south east of Tand J S S public school on Mirzapur to Lalganj route.

Siddhnath ki Dari Falls is a waterfall located in Jauhar Village in Mirzapur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one among the scenic waterfalls on the Vindyachal range. The waterfall gets its name from Siddhnath Baba who used to meditate here. His Samadhi can be seen across the waterfall.


The Waterfall

The waterfall is a cascade waterfall, situated amidst dense forest. It falls from a height of 100 feet and has a plunge pool at the base. The rock where Siddhinath Baba meditated is now a small temple across the river. One can take a walk along the rocky stairs beside this to reach below the falls. Rock paintings of pre-historic paintings can be seen on the surrounding rocks of this area. The best time to visit the waterfall is during monsoon and post monsoon when there is high volume of water gushing down. This place often remains crowded on weekends and holidays. There is ample parking (paid) space for vehicles near the waterfall.

Mukkha Falls is a waterfall located in Basahi Village near Ghorawal Town in Sonbhadra district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Lakhaniya Dari Falls is a waterfall located in Latifpur Village in Chunar Tehsil in Mirzapur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The waterfall is situated amidst densely wooded hilly terrain. It falls from a height of 262 feet (80 m). It looks stunning and magnificent during monsoon. The waters from this falls are stored in the Ahraura Dam, which is used for irrigation of the surrounding lands. This place is famous among the trekkers and adventure enthusiasts.

The falls is situated at about 3 Kms from the Latifpur Junction on Varanasi to Robertsganj route. Tourists need to trek 3 Kms from the entrance to the falls.

Vasudhara Falls is a waterfall located near Mana Village in Chamoli district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated near Badrinath, one of the Char Dham (four sacred shrines).



Legends

The water of the falls does not touch the body of sinners:

As per belief, the water of this falls does not touch the body of sinners. It is said that if the holy water of this falls touches the person, then the person will attain salvation.

Vasudhara:

Vasu refers to Lord Krishna and Dhara refers to the water fall or flow of a stream. Thus, Vasudhara means waterfall of Lord Krishna.

Vasus performed penances here:

It is said that eight Vasus, sons of Ganga, performed penances at this place.

The Falls

The falls is situated at an elevation of 12,000 feet above the sea level on the banks of river Alaknanda. It falls from a height of 400 feet (120 m). The falls flow into the river Alaknanda. It is surrounded by Chaukhamba, Nilkantha and Balakun mountains. The water of the falls appears like milk flowing down the hill when it is viewed from a distance. This water of this falls is considered to have a flavor like nectar because its water has been enriched by the herbs.


There is a small cave located at about 100 metres before the falls. Two Sadhus live in this cave. Satopanth glacier can be viewed from the falls. It is best to visit this falls during March to June. Mana is accessible only when Char Dham pilgrimage begins in Apr/May, so it is advisable to visit this place during May and June.

Mana is located at about 5 Kms from Badrinath, 50 Kms from Joshimath, 126 Kms from Karnaprayag, 294 Kms from Rishikesh Railway Station, 304 kms from Rishikesh, 310 Kms from Dehradun Airport and 333 Kms from Dehradun. Mana is located on the northern terminus of National Highway 7. Mana is the last village before the Mana Pass. Tourists need to trek 6 Kms from Mana village to reach the falls. The trekking takes about four hours for both ways. The first 2 Kms of the trekking is easier. But after crossing the Saraswathi Temple, the trek becomes difficult as the path becomes very treacherous. The views of Vasudhara river valley during this trek are very scenic.

Tiger Falls is a waterfall located in Chakrata Town in Dehradun district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is considered as one of the highest direct waterfall in India. The Tiger falls is also known as Keraao Pachad and Kailu Pachad in local languages.







The Falls

The falls is located amidst hilly terrains of Chakrata Town inside dense forest. The falls is situated at an elevation of 1395 m above the sea level. It fall from a height of 95 meters (312 feet) and forms a pool at the bottom. Tourist can enjoy a rejuvenating bath in the pool. The sound of the falling waters is similar to the roaring of a tiger. Thus, the waterfall came to be called as Tiger falls. It is best to visit this falls during monsoons (July to September).

The falls is situated on Chakrata to Lakhamandal route. The fall can be reached through a 1 Km trek from the car parking. There is another trekking route of about 5 Kms available from Chakrata Town through dense forest to reach this falls.

It is best to visit this falls during October to June.
