Mahadev Paani Waterfall is a waterfall located in Gopisur Satkunda Village in Raisen District in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This waterfall is seasonal and has a total height of 70 feet. The waterfall is surrounded by verdant forests and mountains. The water from the falls gets collected in the naturally made ponds. Tourists used to take baths in these ponds. There is a cave housing an old Shiva Linga can be seen next to the falls. The falls came to be called Mahadev Paani Waterfall due to the presence of this Shiva Linga.
The best time to visit this waterfall is during post
monsoon. Tourists need to trek down from the top of the waterfall to reach the
viewpoint and the base of the waterfall. The falls is located at about 7 Kms
from Sehatganj, 28 Kms from Raisen, 28 Kms from Bhopal Bus Stand, 30 Kms from Bhopal,
31 Kms from Bhopal Railway Station and 41 Kms from Bhopal Airport. The falls is
situated at about 7 Kms to the north of Sehatganj on Bhopal to Raisen route.
